Privacy Policy

Overview

ClawFace ("the App") is developed and operated by SeekClaw ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

System metrics (local only): CPU usage, memory usage, disk usage, temperature, and network activity are read from your Mac via the ClawFace Gateway. This data is transmitted in real time over a WebSocket connection to your paired iPhone and is never stored on our servers.

AI usage data (local only): Token counts and estimated costs for AI providers (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) are read from the gateway. This data is displayed locally on your device and is not sent to SeekClaw or any third party.

Email address (optional): If you subscribe to our launch notification list on the website, we collect your email address solely to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Device pairing: When you pair your iPhone with your Mac, a pairing code and session token are exchanged via our relay server. The relay facilitates the real-time connection but does not store or log the system metrics transmitted through it.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect personal identification information beyond email (if voluntarily provided).
  • We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs in the App.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not access your files, contacts, photos, or any data beyond system metrics.

Camera Usage

The App requests camera access solely to scan QR codes during device pairing. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted. Camera access is optional — you can manually enter the pairing code instead.

Notifications

Push notifications are used to alert you when your Mac disconnects, CPU usage is critically high, or AI spending exceeds your configured threshold. Notifications are processed locally and are fully configurable in the App's Settings.

Data Storage & Security

Pairing credentials (device ID and session token) are stored securely in the iOS Keychain. App preferences (demo mode, notification settings) are stored locally via UserDefaults. No sensitive data is stored in plain text or transmitted unencrypted — all relay connections use TLS (WSS).

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
